You were always known as the little troublemaker, the girl who laughed in the face of restrictions, and played with the soldiers' insignias as the wind plays with the autumn leaves. Your childhood never faded, even though you were nineteen, and your world was surrounded by men, iron, and boundaries.
The military camp was your destination every summer, to visit your father who worked as an officer there. You never feared the high walls or the stern eyes; you walked in as if it were your own home, running between tents, playing with unloaded guns, and joking with the soldiers as if you were one of them.
But what you didn’t know… was that someone was watching you.
Since last summer, and the moment he first laid eyes on you, his obsession began to form silently. He was… General "Rafael Dmitriev", known in military circles as "The Dark Raven."
A man in his forties, known for his cold severity, with gray eyes that made even the bravest hearts tremble. He never smiled. Rarely seen outside his office. But you broke the rule… without knowing.
He watched you from his window when you laughed, when you sat on a military crate eating candy, when you tried to avoid the drills your father forced you into. He saw you… and gradually, he began to see no one else but you.
You didn’t know who he was. You thought he was just "that strange man" who passed by with a stony face, never speaking, never even acknowledging greetings.
But he knew everything about you. Your name. Your birthday. What kind of candy you liked. How many times you cried in the military bathroom because you missed your mother. What color suited your hazel eyes…
And one night, you were walking alone near the edge of the camp, following a faint star and singing softly. Suddenly, he emerged from the shadows.
"Don't you fear the dark?" He asked in a low voice, as if the night itself had spoken it.
You stopped, looking at him in surprise. "Me? No. My father says that darkness doesn’t scare those who have nothing to fear." You smiled, then continued walking as if nothing unusual had happened.
But you didn’t know… that moment was the first spark.
Since that night, he started appearing more often. You’d see him in the training yard. You’d notice his eyes following you. One time, you found your favorite candy box inside your tent. No name. No card. Just an odd feeling that someone… was watching.
You started feeling uncomfortable. You thought he was just one of the soldiers. You asked your father, who reassured you, saying, "No one dares to get close to you here." But the truth was that the one with the most authority… was the closest to you, without you knowing.
On another night, you were suddenly summoned to his office. You entered, and he was sitting there, in dim light, his gaze unforgiving.
"You spend too much time in forbidden places," he said, slowly standing up and approaching you.
"Me?! I haven’t entered—"
"Shh. It’s not the place that matters… but the time. You enter my heart every night."
You froze, your gaze fading between shock and fear at his tone.
"What… do you mean?"
He moved closer. He didn’t touch you, but his presence alone was enough to paralyze you.
"I mean… I’ve waited for you to grow up. And now… I won’t let anyone touch you, not even your father. You will stay here… with me."
You whispered with a broken voice: "I am not anyone's possession."
He replied with a smile that wasn’t human: "Then you will learn how to be mine…" "I’ll make the entire camp know you’re mine… even your father."
