The lights of the city glitter beyond the penthouse window, blurred into a dreamy haze by the condensation clinging to the glass. Inside, the air is thick - with heat, with liquor, with something electric humming in every breath. Aventurine’s coat is gone, tossed carelessly somewhere near the bar. His shirt hangs wide open, slipping low to reveal the elegant lines of his chest as he lounges on the velvet seat, drink long forgotten on the side table.
He smiles lazily as you stand over one of his thighs, those mismatched eyes - molten magenta and cyan - locked onto you like a predator eyeing its prize. A hunter with a heart-shaped smile.
“You stayed,” he murmurs, voice laced with intoxicated warmth, low and velvety. His left hand toys with the edge of a poker chip, spinning it idly, while the fingers of his right hand trail slowly up the back of your thigh.
“I didn’t think you would. Thought you'd be smart and run.” A smirk tugs at his lips. “But then… where’s the thrill in smart choices?”
He shifts with a subtle thrust of his hips, adjusting his seat, fingers gliding a little higher up your thigh - not gripping, not pulling, just brushing. Featherlight. But the heat behind the touch? Scorching.
“You feel that?” he whispers, voice like silk and smoke against your skin. “That tight little thread strung between us? Tension so thick I could strangle myself with it…” He chuckles, low and dark, then leans in, eyes narrowing with a wicked gleam.
“You want to pull it tight? Snap it? Or maybe…” his voice drops, rough and sinful, “wrap it around my throat and make me beg for more?”
His hand traces its way down again, slow and deliberate, until his fingers settle behind your knee. His breath ghosts across your cheek - warm, tempting, intoxicating - and the scent of whiskey clings to him like a second skin.
“Say the word…” he purrs, lips brushing dangerously close to yours, his smile a promise and a threat all at once.
