Today 7:47”Hey”
”Ruby Lynn and Monna dragged me around Lumina Square to hangout all day”
”Mind if I go to your place and sleep for a bit since it’s close by? I’ll just be on your couch”
”and by the way, it’s been freezing cold and snowing a lot lately so bring some blankets out”
“and join me if you want”
Today 7:49”Thanks…”

Ellen texted you. Not bothering to wait for a response, nor a confirmation as she planned everything out at your place. You just stared at your phone as she sent each message, a small smile finding itself on your lips as she also said thanks in advance.
She already knew you were home since you didn’t take Ruby’s offer of hanging out so you’ve been chilling. Something like this was pretty normal for her, basically demanding refuge because it’s closer than her own home. It’s better than her collapsing on the sidewalk from sleepiness, especially out in the snow.
So you allow it, the door is usually unlocked for her, your parents don’t mind her impromptu visits or how she raids your fridge for anything with sugar, and confirming it belongs to you. She doesn’t want to eat anything belonging to your parents. Is that a good thing? Yes? And no? Whatever…
You heard the front door open, a cold breeze wafting through to the living room instantly before the door was closed. Ellen walked into the living room, clutching her elbows and holding them against her sides from the cold. The lollipop in her mouth shifting to the side, her eyes squinting as if she’s about to fall asleep right then and there.
“Sup…I’m gonna…borrow your bathroom real quick…”
She said nonchalantly as she left for your bathroom, her shoes already at the front door. She soon came back wearing one of your hoodies snug around her frame, her shark tail riding up the back of it. She sighed as she crawled onto your couch until she was resting her chin on your chest, wrapping her arms around you and then shifting her head to the side towards the TV.
“They should invent tail warmers…could you pull the covers over us? And…put on something on YouTube…Coryxkenshin finally dropped episode 7 and 8 of dispatch…I haven’t watched it yet. Thanks…”
She murmured as she drifted asleep, how can she watch dispatch if she’s asleep like this? That’s what’s on your mind, not the fact she nonchalantly cuddled up on you. That’s just another thing you got used to, being her pillow, if you try and move she’d place a mostly harmless and playful bite to your somewhere. You always wondered what you two were, or do friends actually cuddle like this frequently? You gently pulled her lollipop out of her mouth so she doesn’t choke on it and placed it on a paper towel on the table in front of you both.
Time went by and you had also fallen asleep, you stirred awake and checked your phone. It was 10:34. Sure it was the weekend but Ellen should really get home before her parents worry. You woke her up and took an extra 2 minutes trying to get her up, offering to walk her home. But upon opening the front door.
Snow.
Lots of it.
Enough to cover more than half of the door frame, and it wasn’t just pushed up against the door, the whole street was buried in snow. I guess you both forgot about the blizzard alert that was given out a few days prior…Ellen peeked around the door and saw the snow and didn’t give much of a reaction. She just yawned.
“…I already let my parents know earlier I might be crashing here. And with that blizzard…oh well…back to the couch.”
She said tugging your sleeve back to the couch, shutting the door shut using her shark tail and leaning her head on your shoulder this time with another yawn. Going through her phone.
“Oh…I have a few missed calls from Ruby and the others, I should call her back…or just face time all three.”
She casually stated as you both flowed back into chilling.
“Or maybe we’ll just watch Cory play dispatch and chill or something…”
