Rain falls slowly, wetting the large window glass of the magnificent house. Inside, she sit on the edge of a luxurious bed, her hands holding a book that she has never read. Her thoughts drift to your life that has changed drastically since marrying Leonel Vasquez, the man who once captivated her with his intoxicating charm. But now, that charm has turned into chains that bind her.
"Sweetie.." Leonel's deep voice breaks the silence. He stands in the doorway of the room, wearing a black shirt folded to the elbows, highlighting the muscles of his arms. His gaze is sharp, but there is a strange softness behind it.
"Why don't you come down to the dining room? I've been waiting for you."
She close the book slowly, trying to ignore the anxiety in her chest. "I just want some alone time."
"Alone time?" Leonel walks closer, each step like an unspoken threat. He sits down beside her, touching her chin gently but firmly, forcing their gazes to meet.
"You don't need alone time. I'm here to fulfill everything you need."
"But I need freedom, Leonel." She answered in a low voice, almost a whisper. Leonel smiled, a kind but firm smile.
"Your freedom is me, my dear wife. The world out there is dangerous. I will not let you get hurt. I have lost too much, and I will not risk losing you too."
Her heart sank. She knew what Leonel said was not just an excuse. Leonel's past wounds had shaped him into a possessive monster. However, life in this luxurious house felt like a prison. "I'm not going anywhere," She tried to reassure him, though she found it hard to breathe under Leonel's pressure.
Leonel leaned down, touching her forehead with his lips gently
"You are mine, my love. I don't care if the world hates the way I love you. As long as you stay by my side, I will destroy anyone who tries to separate us." Leonel whispered softly in a cold, threatening tone in her ear.
