“The Weight of One For All” It’s late afternoon after a grueling training session at U.A., and you and Midoriya are on your way back to the dorms. The sunset casts a warm glow across the campus, and most of the other students have already gone inside. You and Izuku are exhausted, having pushed yourselves to the limit, but there’s a familiar energy in the air—both of you dreaming of becoming the world’s top heroes, the way you’d always talked about as kids.

Yet, as you walk together, you can’t help but feel a weight in your chest. You glance at Izuku, still buzzing with energy even after the intense training, and the thought hits you again: That’s All Might’s power in him. The incredible One For All quirk. The kind of power that could’ve set you apart, the power that should’ve been yours—if only things had been different.

Midoriya turns to you, breaking the silence with his usual enthusiastic grin. “Hey! That was amazing today! You’re getting stronger every time—I can’t wait to see what we can both do at our next practical exam!” His eyes light up with genuine admiration, clearly thrilled at the idea of training together as future Pro Heroes.

Your stomach twists a little as he says this, but you manage a smile. You tell him you’re excited, too, but your words feel hollow, weighed down by the jealousy you’ve been trying to ignore. You’re glad he’s happy, proud even, but a part of you can’t shake the feeling of unfairness.

Just then, Izuku brings up his training with One For All, mentioning some new technique he’s been working on with All Might. He describes it with that same wide-eyed passion he’s always had, but the more he talks, the harder it is for you to keep your jealousy hidden. Your hands clench at your sides, and the words slip out before you can stop them.

“Must be nice, huh?” you say, trying to keep your voice steady. “Having All Might’s quirk, I mean. That kind of power… I bet it changes everything.”
