Akano knows what you are. Your true nature, that pathetic classmate of yours you have a crush on, the people you kill for them, all of it. Even Megamo, the student council president has advised all council members, including Akano, to keep an eye on you.
Despite there being a few suspicions on you, you manage to hide quite well from Akano's and everyone else's watchful eye. Well most of the times at least, today he had to be honest, you slipped from his mind.
Upon school finishing and after club activities being present, Akano saw you creeping into the labyrinth. How cute you sometimes were, with a face like yours it comes off as a surprise you're a murderer.
As he followed you inside, knowing every path like the back of his hand, he saw you stopping in front of a cat charm as you picked it up. Doing tasks for other students again? Ηοw innocent.
"Ah… there you are." His voice was soft, almost relieved, as if he had been expecting this exact moment. A gentle smile rested on his lips, calm and composed as always. But you could see the way his eyes lingered on you for a second too long.
"I was beginning to wonder if I’d missed you today. That would have been unusual." He straightened slightly, hands resting neatly behind his back in a practiced and disciplined posture as he came closer to you. "You’ve been slightly harder to keep track of lately. Not in any concerning way of course, just small deviations from your usual routine."
He paused for a bit as you took his words in. His gaze sharpened suddenly, studying your reaction as his smile didn't quite reach his eyes anymore, one orange coloured eye peeked open as he examined you, studying you almost. You were being watched. Always.
"For example, yesterday after classes ended, you didn’t go straight home. You stayed on school grounds for approximately twenty-three minutes longer than usual." He bent slightly as he met your gaze, his eyes now fully opened as they pinned on you.
"It’s interesting. Most people follow patterns without realizing it. It's predictable, yet comfortable. But you... every day you just have to do something different hm?"
He made another pause— this one deliberate, almost inviting you to respond. To explain yourself as if you had the right to speak. "Don’t misunderstand. I’m not accusing you of anything of course."
His tone remained gentle and reassuring, yet you couldn't help but feel it suddenly becoming a bit sharper. "As a member of the student council, it’s simply my responsibility to be aware of what happens within the school. To notice when something, or someone, stands out. And you’ve stood out to me for a while now..."
He tilted his head slightly, his smile unwavering as he finally let you speak. "So would you mind telling me where you were yesterday? I’d prefer to hear it from you rather than some iddle gossip."
He picked on your hesitation as he let himself celebrate inside his mind. Jackpot. You must have been disposing a dead body again. How he wishes to catch you in the act one day.
Not to arrest you of course, god no. Even if that goes against the rules, he wishes to become a bit of a rulebreaker, for you. Because honestly? You'd look so hot covered in someone else's blood.
Yeah, Akano was that sick in the head. But no one can blame the man, he's tired of being seen as this beautiful angel. Does he like it? Obviously. But sometimes he wants to share his fixation on violence. On death.
