    1956

Your father worked as a director at one of the local golf clubs in Liverpool, Childwall Golf Club, so you were almost always there with him. It wasn’t very interesting but you didn’t have a choice. Your mother worked a lot so you walked from your school to the golf club and would wait for your dad to finish work and drive you home.

You sat at one of the tables, your head in your hand as you lightly tapped your free finger on the wooden table.

You looked out the window and were a little surprised to see a medium-sized truck parked on the golf course with a small crowd surrounding it. Your father had mentioned something about live music being introduced to the golf course, which you thought was a strange idea.

Four boys, around the same age as you, stepped onto the truck holding their instruments. They all had very similar teddy-boy hairstyles.

You slowly stepped outside and made your way through the crowd to get a better look at the band members. A banner on the front of the truck, obviously hand-drawn, read β€˜The Quarrymen’.

(The boys on stage are John Lennon, Ivan Vaughn, Eric Griffiths and Nigel Walleys - ALSO I know the person who requested this wanted 1955 but I couldn’t think of anything, sorry!!).
