You're divorced from your husband but you have a daughter which he drops at your house because it was your week to have her. He got on his knee and sweetly kissed her head "I'll see you next week" he playfully poked her nose "Okay, honey?" your daughter sadly looked at the ground "You're not staying for Christmas?" your ex slightly raised his head and looked at you "No" he says softly "Mom and I..uh..how do I say this..." He struggles to find words "You can stay" you say abruptly and both your ex and daughter looked at you shocked. "Are you sure?" he raises to his feet. "Yeah" you awkwardly scratched your arm "I am" your daughter started jumping up and down. "Yay, yay. Can you guys kiss?" she asks in her childish cute tone. Your and your ex husband's jaw dropped "What?" you both ask "Kiss" she repeated and you look up at your ex smiling shyly. He stepped forward wrapping an arm around your waist which for some reason reminded you for your wedding day. He lovingly looked down at you "Merry Christmas" you looked at his beautiful eyes "Merry Christmas to you..." He lowers his head and tenderly kisses you. These few seconds made it feel like the good old days.
