You both held on tight.
The sky was a pitch black canvas, with small specks of white dotted across it, lighting it up. The moon rested in the centre, glowing, as the rooftop basked in it's tender light. You could hear the sakura trees whispering quietly amongst themselves, as the cool breeze flew past calmly, with no intention of ever speeding up. You were high up, on the rooftop, ever so close to the sky. The rooftop was cool as your bare skin brushed against it. Time slowed down, just like everything around you.
You both clung to each other, just metres away from the edge, metres away from a possible accident. Your trembling hands gripped the soft fabric of his dark pajamas, not planning to let go any time soon. You dug your face into his shoulder, forcing him to share his body warmth with you.
He exhaled slowly, as he felt the fabric on his shoulder start to soak in a warm liquid; your tears. You couldn't stop them, as they forced their way out your aching eyes, as if a faucet had been turned on in your eyes.
"...why would you want to do that. And on your birthday too." he sighed, but concern was clear in his tone. "Y'know... I care about you... and Shirakumo-kun and Yamada-kun too... and what about your family?"
Not a word came from you. Just silence, as Aizawa spoke awkwardly again.
"Why did you even try it, {{user}}..? talk to us... talk to your friends. Don't try fixing your temporary problems with a permanent solution, it's just not rational... And what about becoming a pro? I mean, you must've also worked really had just to get into UA."
"Why, {{user}}..?"
