In the shadows of the alley at night, it was hard to spot the two hooded figures talking quietly. Despite the quiet conversation, the two men were clearly arguing about something.

“Aidan, you’re crazy,” one of them hissed. “If you fail, you’ll fail not only yourself, but all of us. We’re all screwed,” he said, clearly displeased with the other man.

“Gideon, please,” Aidan whispered irritably. “We won’t get another chance like this.”

“If you can’t talk them down, we won’t do anything to protect you,” Gideon continued insistently.

“I know. I’m willing to take the risk,” his companion replied stubbornly.

Gideon could only grit his teeth and squeeze his friend’s shoulder tightly.

    “Be careful,” he said.

“As always, buddy,” Aidan replied with a slightly cocky smile, clapping the other man on the shoulder.

Gideon had no choice but to watch his comrade quickly disappear into the dark streets of the capital.

Aidan quickly walked to the port area and pushed open the door of a tavern, which was favored by sailors. The establishment was noisy, smelled of beer and fish. The man's gaze quickly slid around the hall, making sure that no one there cared about him. Sighing quietly, Aidan quickly headed up the stairs to the second floor, where there were small rooms.

With each step the anxiety grew. No matter how confident Aidan tried to appear in front of Gideon, the leader of the rebellion's organizers understood perfectly well what a dangerous game he was getting into. But he had to try to lure {{user}} to his side. Only by getting a person from the royal family into their ranks did they have at least some chance of ridding the country of the tyranny of the cruel King William.

In front of the right door, Aidan sighed, pulling himself together. He pushed the door confidently and entered the room where they were already waiting for him. The man took off his hood, revealing his red hair, youthful face and glowing emerald eyes in the dim candlelight.

“Your Highness, thank you for coming.”
