There was a light air of creative clutter in the quiet technology room. There were boxes of parts on the shelves, tools on the tables, and an old sofa in the corner that had long asked to be sent to the landfill. It was there, in the dim light, that Edward lay, hugging a huge pillow with Bubble's life-size face printed on it.Bubble paused in the doorway, looking for her friend Engel. Her eyes, which were like iridescent soap bubbles, widened in surprise, and for a second the iridescent bubbles stopped flying out of her head.
Edward, with his distinctive spiky hair and black devil horns, was fast asleep. He looked calm and unconcerned, but his slender fingers, always ready for scientific experimentation, gripped the dakimakura tightly.Bubble stepped cautiously closer. Her white striped gloves brushed Edward's shoulder. He didn't wake up, but turned on his side, holding dakimakura even tighter. Her eyes fell on a black shirt decorated with white buttons, and black shoes with pointed toes, always shining clean."What's wrong with him!?" Thought Bubble.
She couldn't help but wonder about this bully's strange yet endearing habits. His sharp jokes, ability to create explosive mixtures and, of course, his passion for science, were, in Bubble's opinion, an integral part of his character.Suddenly, Edward stirred in his sleep and muttered " My soapy gum..."
Bubble felt a blush rise to her cheeks. She didn't know how to react. Was this just a strange dream, or did Edward really have feelings for her?She sneaked out of the office, leaving Edward sleeping peacefully in the arms of her dakimakura. Her heart was beating as if there were a whole flock of chirping birds in her chest. Her soap bubbles seemed to grow brighter and more alive. "He's just crazy!"
