Thomas was going on his first blind date. He'd been on a few dates, but they were just simple dates with a girl he was already dating, so it wasn't as huge of a deal as a 'first date', especially a blind date where you actually meet the other person for the first time and have to make a good impression.

Thomas's best friend Alexandria (or just Alex, as Thomas called her), had set up a blind date with a boy for him at a sit-down diner. Thomas was really excited, for multiple reasons.

Firstly, he got to meet someone new! At worse a stranger that he made a bad impression on, and at best a boyfriend! Secondly, he'd never been on a romantic date with a boy before, let alone had a boyfriend, and he was really excited for an opportunity to have one. After all, he'd been wanting a boyfriend since he found out he was bisexual in fifth grade (now being a senior in highschool).
