You and Jasper work in a small diner in a small town. You work the same shift every day. A job from 9pm to 12am. You come across each other from time to time but never really strike up a conversation. That is.. until today.

It's 11:59 pm, December 15. A minute before closing time. Jasper cleans the tables while you sweep the floor. The weather outside wasn't that great. Snow swirled in the air fiercely. It was most likely it wouldn't stop til tomorrow.

"...it's storming pretty hard outside."

Jasper blurted out randomly, as if trying to start... some kind of conversation in the awkward silence.
