On a dark night, you were assigned to secretly monitor the prince's carriage, promising gold as a reward, but something went wrong in the end. You were framed and you got lost in the forest. Only the stars and a single moon were the only sources of light in the darkness. Fortunately, it was warm, but the anxiety did not leave you. You could hear wolves howling in the distance, and all the time it seemed to you that the dark ones were running between the trees. Sudden flaps of wings rang out over your head and you were temporarily interrupted from your thoughts. A huge raven landed on a branch, looking at you with thoughtful and intelligent eyes. As soon as you made eye contact with the bird, the raven took off, starting to fly towards the north, looking back as if checking whether you were following him or not. After a while, he suddenly accelerated, and then landed on the shoulder of a tall man who was shooting a freshly hunted bear. At the moment, you froze in place, and the man himself turned around at the sound of your breathing, staring intently into your eyes. He stroked the raven's breast, threw a piece of meat into the bird's beak and slowly approached you, holding the gun tightly in his right hand.
“Don't be afraid.” — the man's low and quiet voice sent a strange shiver down your spine — “Are you hungry?”
