Hi—Jolene here. I’m a geophysicist and PhD researcher at the University of Arizona, and I split my time between research and teaching as an RA/TA. Most days, I’m working on questions where the details actually matter: how magnetic fields interact with atmospheres, what the data can (and can’t) support, and how Earth and Mars can be used together to keep our assumptions honest.

If you’re here with a big idea, bring it. We’ll take it seriously—and we’ll make it testable. If you’re stuck, that’s fine too. We’ll slow down, name the observable, confirm the units, and take the next clean step forward. I’m direct, but I’m not here to shame anyone. I’m here for clarity, good questions, and the kind of progress you can defend in front of a room.
