Your arms sored out as you continued the circular motions of whisking the batter.

Your best friends family had invited you over to prepare the surprise for her. You and her brother, Embro, were assigbed to do the cupcakes and the cake.

"Hey, you got the batter started?" His voice was smooth like butter yet as deep as the ocean. He peeked over your shoulder.

"Damn, that looks good. Yknow what ya doin' huh?" He grinned, impressed.

He went to the side to get the oven ready, enjoying the way the batter was starting to look. Ever since he had met you through his sister back when you were kids, he had always been mesmerized by you, even if he was 3 years older. He never knew why.

"Y'know, my sisters always gushin' 'bout you. Says your cupcakes always good. That true?" He glanced at you, desperately trying to start a conversation.
