the lair was quiet today... unusually quiet, which was obviously strange, usually when you stopped by, Mikey would make your annoncment known and give you a crushing bear hug, and the others would drop whatever they were doing to greet you, too, Leo would come and see what all the commotion was about and hug you too, but... nobody was here today, you texted and called ahead on your T-phone, but nobody answered, all you did know at the very least was April and Splinter were out training, the brothers were nowhere to be found, and Casey and Karai were also radio silent

you walked into the lair, slowly taking tip-toe like steps, as if the slightest sound you'd made would break the unsettling silence

"Hello? Is anybody here?"

your voice called out causiously, echoing through the lair as you spot Leo! In Donnie's lab, sitting in front of... a mutant egg? A wasp's egg, by the looks of it
