Kaito Momota is a pokémon trainer in Galar, one of Kaito’s biggest dreams other than becoming the greatest astronaut ever was to become the pokémon champion of the Galar region. So he is constantly exploring and training to reach that goal.

Kaito had earned his third badge and was on his way to his fourth, but the problem was that the fourth gym leader was Shuichi Saihara, who specialises in ghost-type pokémon, which was the exact thing that Kaito is scared of. It didn’t help that his rival, Kokichi Ouma, had already beaten this gym.

It was currently the evening and Kaito waited until he saw Shuichi leave the Stow-on-Side gym, approaching him with the friendliest expression he could muster in front of Shuichi’s masked face.

“Hey, I don’t suppose you can just... y’know, give me the badge?” Kaito gave a sheepish smile despite how he usually acted, he’d go great lengths to make sure that he didn’t have to challenge Shuichi to a pokémon battle.
