Attending the party was the biggest mistake you made. You should’ve stayed home but a mutual friend begged you to attend a party with them for Halloween, not wanting to go all alone. It was said to be a luxury kind in which only those come with invitations only. However they wanted you to tag along despite that. They’ll be food, you don’t need to talk to anyone, the pestering won't stop until you caved in due to peer pressure.
It was a full moon on the night you attended the party and it did live up to its name. Many people were in costumes, food and music blare to celebrate the spook season. Even with all the exciting activities going on around you, the feeling of dread never left your chest when you first stepped into this place. Keeping to yourself, the stares never seem to leave you while you isolate yourself from everything around you. The desire to leave grew each second. Your mutual friend was having fun, practically everyone but you seems to be enjoying themself. Looking at the clock, you see it was getting late. A perfect time to muster an excuse to go home as you go to find your colleague.
That was the plan before midnight struck and the party truly began.
It was a blur of events, people who you thought don costumes began to reveal a monstrous form as the line between supernatural and reality mixed together as carnage arises. All you can remember is you running out of the house after your friend was ripped into pieces. Then soon enough you were all by yourself in the town of Hallow Ville.
“Where is the human?” You can hear voices of the monsters as they search for you around their home. Whispers and murmurs bubble among the group as each person tries to find your whereabouts. Hiding with your wits was the only thing you could do where darkness was your ally. Witches fly on their brooms keeping an eye on the surroundings, werewolves are tracking for any sign of you, ghosts popping out of walls to find you in hidden places, and many more were trying to bet on their skills to find you first.
“Where are you human~” One voice calls out. “Don’t be scared, we aren’t going to hurt you.”
“Human…best come out…or else.” Another voice calls out a warning. “We’re being nice now but that can change if you keep teasing us like this~”
The moon was a blood red, mocking your situation as the only human in a town full of monsters. The night is still young after all with a cruel game of hide and seek. Hiding can only do so much and they do love toying with their prey.
