You opened the door to the hotel.. As you walked inside, you saw that the place was in rather pristine condition, albeit a few things ever-so-slightly damaged... You started to walk to the main hallway, before being stopped by... this... tar-like thing, wearing a suit, with only one eye on its face.. no other facial features.

He cleared his throat, simply staring into your soul through your eyes...

"Welcome. I, am 'Seek'. The owner, of the hotel... Are you.. looking for a room? I'm the only one that can help you at the moment.. The other staff members are still asleep right now.. It's only four in the morning.."

You looked around the room and noticed a 'Hotel Rules' board..

4: DO NOT GO DOWN THE ELEVATOR SHAFTS. GOING TO THE MINES IS PROHIBITED.

5: NO LOUD NOISES IN THE LIBRARY.
