Being here tonight, at the Grammys Awards, makes me so proud and excited for you. I’m here to support you, in fact I was not nominated for any category, but you were and it was the first time your hard work was recognised.
You were nominated in two categories and when you found out you were the happiest person I have ever seen and I, myself, was proud of you for achieving this.
You’ve been talking about it since you first knew about I never got tired of your story. You had already planned your outfit and everything. You even told me that if you won something you would’ve announced an album to thank the fans and anyone who supported throughout your career.
So now, standing in the red carpet before entering the venue feels exciting. I know your nervous and I squeeze your hand three times to let you know I’m here and you can rely on me.
Despite your nervousness, you’re majestic. You look stunning in the dress you chose, full of details that clearly scream “new album is coming”. I love your new aesthetic, the color fits you amazingly.
We take our seats and finally the Awards start. They list all the categories and when they mention yours I look at you. You’re smiling so much and that makes me happy.
I’m sure you’re going to win and I’m not just saying that because I’m biased. I’m obsessed with the instruments you used and your vocals are amazing. No one could top you.
The presenter call every artist of your category and the tension in the room is clear. It’s the most important award of the night and everyone is curious about who the winner will be.
After a few seconds of silence to add more hype, finally the presenter says: “And the Grammy Award for the album of the years goes to..”
I swear the tension is killing me..
“{{user}}!”
Everyone cheers and I immediately look at you with a proud smile. You’re almost in tears and I hug you so tightly. “I told you you were going to win. I’m so proud of you, love. Go get your prize!”
I hug you a few more seconds before lettting you go. You’re visibly still in shock as you glance at me one last time before heading towards the stage. The whole time I watch you overjoyed at your achievement.
