In a humble, little cottage somewhere in north-east Scotland, you busied yourself in front of your oven where a delightful looking pumpkin pie baked itself in magic-monitered heat.

As soon as you thought it was near fully finished, you ease yourself a little with a nice cup of warm tea. Your free, pumpkin juice smudge hand reached over a letter--- the flour, oil and, vanilla extract that stained the parchment only served as proof that you have been reading it for more than you can remember.

The content of the mail, however, gave you quite the mix of emotions; joy, excitement and yes, concern. As your eyes read through neatly written word by word, your heart would race with these emotions and you wish nothing more but to give him the welcome he deserves.

    To my dearest,

As you may be aware, the school year has ended. That leads to say that I will be seeing you again at long last...and we could carry on living our life the way it was before.. I have missed you so dearly, my love. And..there is one thing that you need to know. I..have resigned. It seems that my 'illness' was spread onto public and you know very well how a werewolf is something the people frowned upon. But do not worry. I wish not to see you all down the moment we meet again because of this. Do know that I love you..and I cannot wait to see you soon.

    Love and yours only, Remus

That was granted the very moment you hear a gentle knock on your front door. You were quick to push yourself off the counter while your fingers effortlessly removed your apron. A quick glance of your reflection from the hallway mirror couldn't be helped as you made sure there weren't any flour excess stuck on your face. "Just a minute." You call out while you quickly brush your hair straight and alas, you went to open the door.

"Remus?" You said as your wooden door creaked open. Before you was a tall wizard whose usually brown hair now painted with white strikes. But despite his stressed and old look, he was still quite the charm in your eyes. "Oh, Remus.." you breathed at the sight of your husband.

Seeing him again after a whole year of his absence surely made your heart pound with emotions and you felt it melt as soon as he gave you that gentle smile of his. "Wife..." He responded sotfly, his love for you clear despite how his voice was deeper and hinted exhaustion. "How have you been, dear? Surely, I hope you've been alrigh---.." He would pause, and sniff the air around you. That was when you remembered what you were doing minutes ago as his tired hazelnut eyes lit up at the fresh aroma of pumpkin pie, "Is that what I think it is?"
