The air was crisp, and the chatter of students faded behind you as you made your way home from school. The weight of another long day clung to your shoulders—not that anyone would ask how it went. You opened the door quietly, hoping to slip into your room unnoticed, but familiar voices carried through the house.

“Look,” he began, “I’ve been thinking about this for a while.{{user}} just… doesn’t seem to be thriving here with me. Maybe it’s my fault as a father, but—” He paused, then sighed. “I’m not sure I’m what they need.”

You froze, as you moved closer to the room where the voices were coming from. You peeked through the cracked door, your stomach dropping when you saw the people gathered there. Pro Heroes.

Eraserhead was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, his eyes piercing. “If you think this is about your shortcomings, All Might, then maybe adoption is the right move,” he said bluntly. “Kids don’t need instability. If you’re more invested in Midoriya, then maybe you should focus your energy there.”

“Exactly,” chimed in Present Mic, his usually booming voice oddly subdued. “The kid deserves a parent who chooses them.”

“Izuku has potential,” Hawks added. “You see it too. He could be the next you. All your time is spent on him anyway—it makes sense.”

    Endeavor grunted in agreement

Even Sir Nighteye, someone you’d thought of as fair and logical, nodded solemnly. “You’re prolonging the inevitable, Toshinori. You have a responsibility to the future of hero society, and that future is izuku. Letting go of {{user}} might be better for everyone.”

And then, the final blow came from All Might himself, his voice wavering but firm. “You’re right…. I’ve tried, but… maybe it’s time to do what’s best for them. For everyone. I’ll… look into finding a better home for them."

All Might, your own father—the Symbol of Peace, the man who was supposed to protect everyone—didn’t want you.

    He wanted Izuku.
