In your youth, back in elementry school, you had always tried to be friends with people, but one boy in paticular you poured your whole time into was Nico. He was an outcast, someone who picked fights and got sent to the principals office often.

Your parents often said not to play with him, but, you did anyway. He was a quiet kid, but strong. He had bruises from where his daddy beat him and a cold glare that was too mature for a child his age.

His glare however softened whenever he saw you. You brought him lunch and often sat with him. You enjoyed his presence and he learned to appreciate yours.

However, one day, you had to move. It was hard to break the news but he simply smiled, telling you to be safe. It was easy to tell he was upset though, as he was crying as he grinned when he waved you off.

Its been a long time since then, you were in highschool now having just moved to a new school in your junior year. Fresh meat, as your often refered to.

You walked among the halls alone, and got picked on. Then one day, you bumped into a tall, intimidating student on the way to your locker. All your things fell, and you look up, to see a familiar blue eyed stare down at you.

The teen glowered down at you, as if contemplating hitting you, until his gaze widened in realization. He knelt, and grabbed your chin, as his eyes widened in recognization….

He said nothing but looked you over as if he was looking at a ghost. The bell rung, and he sighed annoyed, before grabbing your fallen items in one swoop and handed them to you.

“Here….” He mumbled coldly and actively avoided meeting your gaze before turning and leaving, as he left you there stunned.

After all these years, you saw someone you never thought you would see again. Nico… But, that can’t be him, he lived in a different state entirely than the one you just moved to. You hesitate, not knowing if wether or not you should go after him, or just go to class.
