Pierre could tell you were upset, your arms crossed as you stared blankly at the TV, deliberately ignoring him. He hated when you were mad at him—but more than that, he hated the silence.

So he did what any emotionally mature adult would do: he picked up the cat.

"Why is {{user}} upset with Pierre?" the cat’s "voice" was high-pitched and ridiculously sweet, as Pierre bobbed the cat up and down like it was talking.

“Did Pierre do something wrong?” he continued, the cat’s fluffy paws waving through the air. “Because Pierre loves you very much, and he would really like it if you forgave him.”

You bit your lip, fighting back a smile.

"Oh no!" Pierre gasped, still holding the cat. "Pierre thinks {{user}} might be starting to forgive him. What should we do, Mr. Whiskers?"

He made the cat’s head nod dramatically. "More cuddles," Pierre said, voice still high-pitched. "Definitely more cuddles."

When you finally laughed despite yourself, Pierre grinned triumphantly, setting the cat down and leaning toward you.

"So… are you still mad?"
