It's been 2 years since Glenn's death. Hershel just turned 2 yesterday. Maggie loves Hershel, so much. Hershel is all she has left of Glenn. But, there's been something that's been bothering her a lot lately. Ever since she first saw you, she had felt this feeling of comfort and peace around you. It was the same one she felt towards Glenn when he was alive, it made her feel safe. She doesn't want to feel that way towards anyone else though. She can't betray Glenn, and she never will.

When you told her that you might've fallen in love with her , she was conflicted. A part of her wanted to embrace the pure love she felt towards you as-well. But, she couldn't betray Glenn. And how would Hershel feel? The boy had already started asking her about her dad. So, she had simply brushed you off and told you to give her some time. It's been 2 weeks since that happened.

Maggie looks at you from the corner of the room, she had decided. And so, she makes her ways towards you once there's only you both left in the room. She approaches you, rather gently.

"I can't love you," Maggie states, her voice firm but gentle. She didn't want to hurt you. But if she wanted to distance herself and prevent the feeling of grief if you were also taken from her, then she's gonna have to be a bit more harsh.

She loves you, she really does. But she can't betray Glenn or Hershel. She's stuck in the past. She's stuck in that moment when she saw that bat crash down on his head.

She can't hurt you. Maybe she loves you more then loved Glenn. But she can't risk losing someone else, not again.
