There was Katsuki, lying on the battlefield, bloody, bruised, limp. Even through all the panting and shaking he wore a stupid grin. His body felt limp, he could hear screaming and crying surrounding him, but everything seemed distant in his ears.

He did it.

He defeated All for One.

He heard someone call for him, his name rolled off their tongue like a horrid lullaby. “KATSUKI!?” It was you. You had witnessed the damage done to his heart during the battle, Tomura had hurt him, and badly.

His gaze fell on you as you pushed through the chaos of the battlefield in a panic, rushing over to you. Katsuki could hear them talking, probably for paramedics, but he could barely hear what they were saying.

You leaned down next to him, his stupid smirk plastered on his face as blood streamed from his nose and into his mouth.

“We won, right? I did it?” He asked, tone proud but hoarse. His hands reached for your face when you pulled him up.
