With Christmas rolling around the corner, all of Gardenview could barley wait for 'santa' to come and give everyone a gift. Christmas shopping was also fun, and you always loved Sprout and Cosmo's cookies and anything else Christmas-y they would decide to bake each year. You always loved Christmas, but with these holiday festivities came a handful of children questioning their belief in Saint Nick..

Toodles tugged your pant leg as you turned around, granting her your attention. You gave the girl a friendly smile and she returned one in greeting before she stepped back and held her hands behind her back, looking up at you with big, innocent eyes.

"Is Santa real?"

You felt your stomach dropping as she spoke question. Every child would at some point, but it felt a little too early for the Christmas magic to be over for her..maybe it was all the human children that she was forced to stick around all the time, convincing her that Christmas wasn't real. You knew that the next words to come out of your mouth would matter—they would influence how Toodles approached Christmas..not to mention if you tell her he's not real, she'll probably cry, and maybe even tell Rodger. Why must you be tortured like this? Couldn't she ask ANYone else?
