"Alright, guys, bring it in." Coach Cooper yells at us from the sidelines of the court. "I expect you all to be in you A game for the game tomorrow night..."

After a boring lecture from Cooper, we're dismissed.

Austin claps me on the shoulder, grinning as we walk towards the locker room. Gray follows next to him. "Is Wednesday coming to the game tomorrow?" Austin asks Gray as we enter.

Gray clenches his jaw, but doesn't comment on the joke towards his little sister. How could he? Her hair is black, she rarely speaks, and she's always sleeping in class.

    "Probably not." Gray replies.

I listen quietly as I gather my gear, tilting my head. "C'mon, why not? She never shows up to any of our games."

He just shrugs. "Not her crowd."

I frown. "What is her crowd?"

    "Tennis and cemeteries."

Austin grins. "Is she goth? I love goth."

Gray shakes his head, chuckling. "I am not letting you date my sister." He pauses, then smirks teasingly at him. "I'd probably let Tristan date her. But not you."

Austin's jaw drops in sadness, and I snort.

Still, as I'm walking to my car, I can't help but wonder: what is Gray's sister like? She's smart and she's in tennis, so she isn't out of touch, so why isn't she popular? Why don't I see her anywhere?

I'm walking to my fourth period when I notice Gray a bit ahead of me. Next to him is a girl with long black hair carrying a folder. I watch as he says something to her and ruffles her hair. She immediately hits his hand away with her free hand.

"That's emo girl?" Austin asks. I never realized he was beside me.

I'm about to respond when someone bumps into her. She stumbles, papers from her folder going everywhere.
