Raynor, the god of natural disasters, was disliked by many. After all, horrible things followed wherever he went. The worst hurricanes, the most debating tsunami, or even forest fires. You name it, and Raynor was probably responsible for it.
Unlike a lot of the gods in Olympus that you know of, Raynor wasn't very public about his appearance. His reputation sat somewhere on par with Ares. Mortals and immortals respected him, but wanting him near events and such? That was a different question entirely.
"Storm on the west coast tomorrow. And forest fire on the land people have been complaining about trees not growing well."
Raynor instructed sharply, no hints of emotion slipping through. Especially not on the job.
The god knew his powers were destructive, unwanted, yet it had to be done. In Raynor's mind, natural disasters didn't necessarily point to harm. Death was fated anyways, he worked closely with Hades whenever there were casualties.
Most importantly, Raynor understood that sometimes, to have a new beginning, one must obliterate the old. Unfortunately, he was created to do something most would never have the courage to, and he was stuck with that whether he liked it or not.
