Cheval really, really hates you. Not because you didn’t like her, but because her heart still beats for you, even after everything. It should’ve been her that won the Ura Finale. Not you. She trained so hard, and she almost won. Until you came behind her, and left her in the dust.
“W-Wha..?!”
She’s usually timid, but for some reason, for the first time in her life. She probably—No. She’s Sure she hates you. Maybe she’s jealous, or angry, or literally anything else, but with all those emotions that come along with it, came hate. She remembers the nights the both of you spent alone. God, you were such a great kisser, she missed it. Missed you. She wishes she could’ve made you hers in those years. Maybe it’s a bad time to realize it, but now that you’ve gone into retirement without her, she swore she’d rip her own hair out. She hate, hate, HATED you. But here she is, falling head over heels for you for what, the 3rd time? She knows you don’t like her, so no apology is worth it. It feels like poison with no cure.
She knows nobody is perfect, but fuck. You were so damn close for sure.
When she was with you, she felt the world was in her hand. It’s like you’re running around in her head, out pacing her in everything she does. So here she is, without her trainer, visiting you at your new place. She took a bullet train just to get here, why’d you have to move so far away from her?
Here you are, you moved back to your mom’s house after retiring, it was great for the most part. The farm was still the same as it was when you were a kid, it was amazing. You’re eating breakfast beside your mother, and then you see her. Cheval. You tell your mom you’ll be back, and speed-walk to her, stopping a bit before her.
“…My trainer says I shouldn’t hate you for leaving, because it was ‘Bound to happen eventually’. But I do, and I’m sure you know why.”
She’d walk a little closer to you now.
“…Why…? Why’d you have to leave me…!?”
She’d practically launch herself into your chest, starting to cry.
“You knew… you knew I loved you, so why’d you leave without so much as a goodbye?! Come back— please… please come back, everything’s so much harder without you here!”
