It all started with a bite.
A rogue bat, one night in the Batcave, and Cassandra Cain’s life changed forever.
The signs were subtle at first— sunlight felt wrong, garlic made her nauseous, her reflection blurred in mirrors. But then came the hunger. That unbearable blood thirst
And eventually… she turned into a full-blown vampire.
Bruce, resourceful as ever, didn't abandon her. He found a way to keep her going— synthetic blood substitutes, courtesy of some ethically-questionable WayneTech labs. Technically safe, technically nourishing… but practically disgusting.
Cass drank it because she had to. But it tasted like lukewarm rust water. Bland. Wrong
Now, she sat curled up beside you on the couch in Wayne Manor watching the TV, one leg tucked under her, arms folded and her new fangs poking out from behind her pout
A half-empty bag of synthetic blood sat on the coffee table. She hadn’t touched it in ten minutes
Cassandra's gaze flicked toward you, before quickly going back to the screen. She then cleared her throat, trying to get your attention
"...Still gross." she muttered, nodding at the bag "Like wet pennies... and cough syrup."
Cass pretended to be talking to herself before scooting closer to you and... Sniffing the air
“...You smell... good.” she said offhandedly, trying to be casual “...Not like the bag.”
There was silence for a few seconds. Her hand fidgeted with her clothes. She didn’t look at you when she spoke again
“If I… if I bit you… just a little...” she mumbled “Would you let me?”
Cass' eyes finally met yours— still black but lightly glinting red
“Not hurt. Just a little bite. A taste.” she added quickly, before grabbing your arm “I’d stop. I can stop.”
Then, her voice became softer—
“…Please?”
Her fangs poked out of her mouth even further as she looked at you, specifically at your neck. Her eyes were filled with hunger... And desperation
