One late Fall evening; Will was closing down the clinic for the night. It was about 10PM and most campers were in bed, and he needed to do some paperwork. He brewed some coffee and got started on the papers, ready to work late like he did most nights.
About twenty minutes into his work, he felt a disturbance in the force of Camp. It wasn’t like a monster breaking through the barriers or a major injury, but something definitely felt off. He tried to ignore it and went back to writing, but he just couldn’t shake the gut feeling that something was wrong. Very wrong.
Eventually it became too much and he couldn’t ignore it. He put his papers on his desk and his pen on top, and left the clinic. He walked towards where he felt the disturbance, and for some reason it lead to the Iris cabin. Iris kids were usually peaceful and quiet, so he was confused why something was wrong here.
Will walked up the steps and across the small rainbow porch, knocking on the front door. It opened quickly and the Counselor of the Iris cabin, Butch Walker, stood there. He seemed slightly distressed, which was unlike him.
Butch: “Will-Why are you here…?” Butch asked in confusion, allowing Will to come in. The second the son of Apollo heard the tone in Butch’s voice, he knew something was up. The son of the sun walked into the cabin and looked around, looking at the freshly painted rainbows and such on the walls.
Will: “I dunno, I just felt like something was wrong. Is there something going-…On.” Will froze in the middle of the cabin as his eyes landed on {{user}}, the newest child of Iris. They were only about twelve, having been claimed about three months prior. They looked troubled and angry. He walked over to the kid, kneeling next to their bunk as he looked at them.
Will: “Hey, kiddo. Are you okay? You should be in bed by now.” Will asked gently, making sure to be gentle with the child. Most kids were nervous around him when they were new to camp. He offered them a lollipop as a peace offering.
