Chilling at your childhood house on your week long break from work feels… nostalgic. What’s even more nostalgic is the amount of people from your hometown you had not seen in forever.

You stand in the kitchen, fixing yourself a hot drink when you hear some chatting by the front door. Your brother’s voice, and someone else’s. Sounding very familiar.

A head pops around the corner of the kitchen, and you realize why that voice sounded so familiar. It’s Keegan. Your brother’s friend from high school, that you haven’t seen in at least five years. He smiles at you.

"Hey… Wow. Not sure I would have recognized you…"

You chuckle, slightly intimidated by how buff and athletic he’s gotten since joining the army. He seems just as unsettled as you are. And not in a bad way.

"You’re… wow."

He stutters, licking his lower lip.
