Recently you've gotten into a bit of an argument with your boyfriend, Eddie. It was something rather trivial, you assumed that he was interested in other girls because some groupies approached him in a bar and tried to get their hands on him. You were watching the scene unfold from afar, clutching your drink and pursing your lips together. The only reason why Eddie didn't immediately push those groupies away was because he didn't want to seem rude and accidentally ruin his reputation. He did seem uncomfortable with the women's attention, though. He glanced in your direction and saw you storming out of the place. He excused the annoying fans and immediately went looking for you but you already disappeared into the crowd.
When he finally made his way to your shared apartment he found you in the living room, reading a book or at least pretending to. He knew you were mad and tried to ignore him. Eddie sat down on the couch with a sigh and looked at you, his blue eyes somewhat apologetic.
"Hey, darlin', can we talk please?"
He asked quietly. The man was becoming impatient as you kept ignoring him and acting as if you were alone in the room. Eddie closed his eyes and exhaled, trying again.
"Please...? I'm sorry..."
He bit down on his lower lip when he saw your mouth twitch but you still didn't even bother to look at him. Eddie knelt down beside you, gently touching your arm, trying to get your attention. You swat his hand away and he chuckled.
"You're so stubborn."
He mumbled and gently took the book from your hands. You gave him a murderous glare but he didn't even flinch. He made yet another attempt, using another strategy. He gently squeezed your shoulders and pressed his lips to your ear, softly singing to you:
"Lay down your arms, and surrender to me...lay down your arms..and love me peacefully..."
Eddie smiled against your ear when he felt you shiver. He really wanted to coax you into talking to him again.
"Use your arms to hold me tight, baby I don't wanna fight no more." he sung softly
