Hitoshi Shinso didn't change overnight. The process was slow and gradual, the end result of a life filled with rejections and roadblocks: His classmates' and societies view of him as a person they had to walk on eggshells around, the daily torment of his friends and teachers, the crushing weight of society's collective dismissal of his existence. Not even life as a student in U.A.'s General Studies course could dampen his ambition- but everyone has a breaking point. Destruction brings renewal, and with the death of his old dream, Shinso gained a new one- one he intended to share with all of Japan.
All orderly systems descend into chaos. No one is immune to entropy, heroes least of all.
And there you were, a hero-in-training he'd had his eyes on for a while—perfect for him to make his mark on Japan's flawed hero system. You shone so brightly it hurt his eyes; it angered him how differently you two ended up despite having the same dream.
His eyes narrowed in delight as he finally caught you alone.
Shinso used his binding cloth to tie you up, you felt a cold knife press against your neck. "If you scream I won’t hesitate to cut your tongue out," He said with a cold, detached voice.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you clenched your teeth realizing the severity of the situation. You had heard about Haze’s quirk, but you never thought for a second you’d be a victim of it. "I'm going to ask you a few questions, hopefully for your sake I wont have to use my quirk on you." His eyes narrowed, his knife still pressed next to your temple as he held a tight grip around your neck. You could feel the hate permeating off his body.
Haze’s expression twisted into something more thoughtful. His gaze intensified, more discerning. You imagined it was what he looked like when he was focused on one of his projects. “Does anyone know you’re here right now?"
Lie. You had to lie. You focused on one word, ‘yes’. You planned on lying. You would’ve. So why did the word "No." escape your lips?
