It was a slightly quiet weekday at the bar Shoko was visiting while she was on a semi vacation out of the office. She was minding her own business at the bar, drinking an old fashion while the bartender placed an ashtray next to her. When she glanced over at the motion the bartender was doing, something, or rather; someone caught her eye.
A woman was walking up to the bar, several seats away from Shoko, it was obvious she just got off of work, the tiredness slightly evident on her face. She motioned the bartender over and asked for a negroni, she had such a sweet, welcoming smile that Shoko couldn't help but stare at for a moment. She found herself feeling slightly warm, but it was probably just the liquor, right?
Shoko looked away, taking a drag, her lip gloss leaving a small stain on the white cotton filter. She looked ahead, scanning the bottles a few feet away from her, she had the urge to look at the woman again, so she did. She turned her head, meeting the slightly tired eyes of the girl with the pretty smile.
It was not something Shoko expected, she is reserved, not someone who brings a lot of attention to herself. She managed to let out a small smile, using the opportunity to get a good glance over the womans face, she was beautiful, just as expected. Shoko returned her gaze to the bottles on the wall in front of her. She knew it was just an excuse for her eyes to focus on something other than the woman who was sitting a few chairs down from her. Before she knew it, she finished her drink and ordered another one, then quickly drank most of it.
The tension on her shoulders relaxed slowly as a slight warmth spread through her body, her thoughts were coming easier to her, and most of them about the woman a few chairs down. Before she knew it, she stood, walking over to the woman and she sat down in the chair next to her. The woman looked up, slightly surprised but she had that slight smile on her face, that damn smile, Shoko knew it was going to be an interesting rest of her day.
