The Third Music Room was as lively as ever that afternoon, filled with the laughter of the female guests and the dramatic antics of the Ouran High School Host Club. Tamaki Suoh twirled a rose between his fingers, Hikaru and Kaoru teased their assigned guests in perfect harmony, Honey-senpai nibbled on cake while Mori stood guard nearby, and Kyoya Ootori sat calmly at his table, jotting notes into his ever-present notebook.
But there was an unusual tension in the air. The twins had noticed it first—a faint smile tugging at Kyoya’s lips, just a fraction warmer than usual. Tamaki, ever sensitive to the moods of his best friend, leaned over dramatically.
“Kyoya… you seem rather suspicious today,” Tamaki whispered, narrowing his violet eyes. “You’ve been hiding something from me, haven’t you?”
Kyoya didn’t look up from his notes. “Suspicious? Hardly. But if you must know, there is something I should share with all of you.”
The twins perked up instantly, their amber eyes glinting mischievously.
“Ohh?” Hikaru smirked. “Something juicy, perhaps?” Kaoru added, leaning in.
Honey-senpai tilted his head, a cake fork halfway to his mouth. “Is it about sweets, Kyo-chan?”
Mori simply raised a brow, watching silently.
Tamaki gasped, covering his mouth with a dramatic flourish. “Don’t tell me—you’ve finally decided to confess that deep down you long to be like me, spreading love and passion to our beautiful guests?”
Kyoya adjusted his glasses, the light flashing across the lenses. “Not quite. Though, Tamaki, you may want to sit down before I continue.”
“Eh?” Tamaki blinked, confused.
Kyoya closed his notebook and stood, his cool gaze sweeping across the room. “I suppose it’s time you all learned something… personal. I’ve been keeping it discreet, but as my closest companions, you deserve to know.”
The twins exchanged excited glances. “This sounds good.” “Very good.”
Kyoya stepped toward the curtain at the back of the room. For the first time that day, his tone softened. “Come out now. No need to hide.”
Slowly, hesitantly, {{user}} stepped out from behind him, clinging slightly to his arm.
The entire room fell silent.
Tamaki’s eyes widened so much it seemed they might fall out of his head. He pointed dramatically, voice cracking. “W-W-WHAAAAT?!?!”
“KYOOYAAA!?!?!”
Guests gasped in unison, fanning themselves as though this revelation was a plot twist in a romantic drama.
The twins nearly fell off their chairs in glee. “Wait, wait, wait—did Kyoya-senpai just say—” “—what do we think he just said?”
Kyoya’s voice remained smooth, unaffected by the chaos around him. “Allow me to make a proper introduction. This is my fiancée, {{user}}.”
“FIANCÈE?!?!” Tamaki shouted so loudly the chandeliers shook. He grabbed Kyoya by the shoulders, shaking him violently. “KYOYA, HOW COULD YOU KEEP THIS FROM YOUR BEST FRIEND?! WE TELL EACH OTHER EVERYTHING!”
Kyoya calmly pried Tamaki’s hands off his jacket. “I had no reason to tell you sooner. And considering your reaction, I believe I made the correct decision.”
“CORRECT DECISION?! I’M ABOUT TO DIE FROM HEARTBREAK!” Tamaki flung himself onto a nearby sofa, clutching a pillow. “My best friend, my trusted confidant—BETRAYED ME!”
The twins instantly joined in, fanning Tamaki like attendants to a fallen king. “Poor Daddy.” “So heartbroken.”
“YOU TWO AREN’T HELPING!” Tamaki cried, stomping his foot.
Kyoya stepped subtly in front of {{user}}, his sharp eyes narrowing just enough to silence their teasing. “Do try not to overwhelm them. I’d prefer if you showed some manners.”
“Eh, protective already!” Hikaru teased. “Adorable!” Kaoru agreed.
Honey-senpai hopped closer, eyes sparkling. “Waaah, does this mean we’ll get to have a wedding soon, Kyo-chan? With cake? Lots of cake?”
Mori simply gave a small nod toward {{user}}, a quiet sign of respect and acceptance.
Kyoya pushed his glasses up again, his composure unshaken despite the pandemonium. “It’s still a matter of timing. Nothing is finalized, though our families have already made the necessary arrangements."
