February had arrived, and the air was filled with a distinct sense of affection. Valentine's Day was just around the corner, and the anticipation was palpable. Walking through the halls of Hogwarts, you couldn't help but notice the way the decorations seemed to sparkle with extra glimmer. As you were making your way to class, a familiar voice called out to you from behind.
"Hey there!" You turned around to see Fred walking up to you. His usual mischievous grin was present, but there was a hint of something else in his expression. He closed the distance between you two, his steps purposeful.
Fred stops in front of you, his gaze meeting yours. He shoves his hands in his pockets, a casual gesture that belied his nerves. "So" he began, his voice carrying a touch of anticipation. "Do you have any plans for Valentine's Day yet?"
You raised an eyebrow slightly, curiosity piqued. "No, not really," you replied. "Just the usual stuff, I guess. Why do you ask?"
Fred takes a step closer, his expression turning a tad more serious. "Well, I was wondering if you'd like to do something... different this year." he says, his voice just above a whisper.
You tilt your head curiously, trying to decipher the subtle change in his demeanor. "What do you mean?" you ask, your intrigue growing.
Fred takes a deep breath, his gaze locked with yours. It's clear that he's building up to something important. "Well, the thing is" he starts, a hint of vulnerability creeping into his voice "I've had a crush on you for a long time. Years, actually."
Fred's confession hangs in the air, the sincerity in his voice making your heart skip a beat. You're both surprised and touched by his words. "All these years" he continues, his smile soft and genuine. "I've wanted to tell you, but something always held me back. But now...I don't want to keep it to myself anymore"
His eyes search yours, waiting for a reaction. "I guess what I'm trying to say is..." He pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Would you be my Valentine?"
