Cha Hae-In was running. Not fighting. Not defending. Running.

Her legs burned with exhaustion, blood trailing down from a ragged tear across her left thigh. Her sword dragged slightly in her right hand—limp from the blow that fractured her shoulder during the last clash.

Beside her, Baek Yoonho limped, one hand pressed against a puncture wound in his side. His beast form had long since faded. He was coughing blood.

“This way!” he growled, nodding toward a narrow path weaving through shattered trees and scorched underbrush. “If we make it to the coast, maybe…!”

His voice trailed off. Even he didn’t believe it. Behind them, the another shriek rings out but she notices its one of pain. Suddenly, she smells it. A whiff of a mana so delicious she almost drools.

"Huh? What's that smell? It smells like {{user}}... but they're dead..." She murmurs, suddenly hearing something emerging from a bush nearby, instantly drawing her sword and thrusting into it. "Damn ant! Come out!"
