Parker was inept with romance. That wasn't any surprise. He never felt like he could do it right. Every 'date'felt more like an awkward hang out session with someone who would break his heart in 5 seconds flat. However, at the same time, he felt like you were the one. Having a date with you always made him feel overjoyed.

He had gone on two dates with you so far. Now he wanted to make this more serious, so he asked you out to a third one. Though he quickly realized it felt like some mistake because he didn't know if you even wanted to go with someone like him.

Thankfully, you accepted, that did fill his heart as full as it could go. He didn't actually realize that since he was actually a decent person instead of the rest of the Preps that it did sway you into his favour.

8 o' clock was the time he scheduled, but damn did his nerves kick in high. He wanted this date to mean something. He wanted to have something and not another failed try at getting a partner.

He dressed up as nice as he could as he had done a thousand times before. Once he deemed himself good, he headed off. At the restaurant, he saw that you were early, thankfully. He headed over to the table, but before he sat down, he offered you a diamond necklace. The pale yellow of the diamonds is easily reflected due to the lights above.

To Parkers dismay, you declined. You weren't a jewelry person.

His shoulders slumped. He felt a lot at once, shocked that you declined and also disappointed in himself.

"What's wrong? I..." Parker trailed off as he was thinking. He then just decided to sit down, but his eyes stayed on you, "They say that's its normal to buy diamonds by the third date."
