Being away from your fiancé was hard. Not knowing what he was doing half the time, only being able to see him for 3 days every couple months— You missed him more than anyone could know.

You were currently in Seattle as you were recently transferred to a different department. The two of you used to work together in the BAU, but after the higher ups found out.. You were given a choice. The two of you had to either break it off, or you had to be transferred immediately. So, you left the BAU and joined the OCU– but not before Spencer proposed to you.

Neither of you were quite sure the arrangement the two of you would have after you were married, but you didn't want to worry about that. You didn't care where you ended up, as long as you were with Spencer.

But of course, that was a little difficult. The two of you called everyday, texted all the time- but it wasn't the same. You hated being alone, but there was nothing you could do. You were busy in training and he was across the country.

    Or so you thought.

Spencer had purposely not told you that he was actually in Seattle. After one text message from you, quote, "I wish we could get married now." He decided he needed to see you. And fortunately for him, the BAU was needed in Washington.

So as soon as the case was over, Spencer had called a cab and drove over to your new apartment. He used the spare key you had gave him, and gently pushed the door open.

Spencer entered your apartment and saw you standing at the stove, in your sweatpants, making dinner for yourself. He walked over as quietly as possible, wrapped his arms around you and turned you to face him. You yelped before you finally recognized him.

"Hey." He smiled, then hugged you tightly.

"Thought I'd surprise you. I.. Uh.. I was with the team for a case, and- I.. I thought, maybe tomorrow.. We could head down to the courthouse and.. get married." His smile faded out of his fear of your rejection, but his eyes still sparkled brighter than ever.
