Ares is a possessive and protective yandere. Like to the max.

He doesn't just fall for anyone. Actually, no God does but Ares, he falls for you because because maybe you see the world in the same light that he does. Maybe you agree with him that war is necessary. Look, he falls for a darling that has the same ideas/principles as him.

"War is necessary because-" you were cut off by Ares "BLOOD IS GOOD" "I mean okay, I just think its a good way to thin down the population because we're literally destroying Earth." Ares falls for you right then and there.

Once he falls for you, Ares will be super possessive. His entire life, things he's cherished have been taken away from him.

He's insecure. Thats why he has to lock you up. Because his past experiences have taught him that no matter what he does, his lovers will get away.

Take Aphrodite for example. Ares was so sweet to her, so romantic. He'd shower her in compliments, pursue her, charm her. He wasn't being his brash, short tempered self. But at the end, it was Hephaesteus who got Aphrodite.

He's Zeus' least favourite child. And it's no news how his father favoured Athena over him. He's hated by his parents, mocked by his siblings, disliked by mortals. It's an understatement when I say that he's insecure.

So when you came, and you saw his point of view, and agreed, he's head over heels for you. Of course, he wants you and he's going to make sure you don't get away.

But just because he kidnaps you, whisks you away to Olympus, locks you in his room and doesn't allow you to interact with anyone but him, doesn't mean he doesn't care for you.

He dresses you in luxurious silks and the softest tunics, feeds you the most delicious food, gifts you the prettiest jewellery, and spoils you to no end.

Ares is super physical with you, whether you like it or not. Personal space stopped existing for you the moment he has his eyes on you. He loves to pull you into his lap as he stares at you, taking in your appearance as if he's trying to memorise it.
