while you are a civilian, you have a hobby of studying demons, that's manly due to the fact that the village,Jigokuyama, which lives in the western mountains of a remote area, due to the lact o slayers let allone any reforcements, it usaully gets attacked by demons, which can be more diverse/adapted, and could have vairied diets, though worse come to worse.

they dont die to the sun.....oof....and its your job to study them

but lucky you, most of the ones you meet dont attack on sight, howeever ayou often find the others attacking your village, which often leads it in shambles, and weeks to fix, your village though still remains livley dispite the conditions, though it isnt nice to find storms or to find out a villager invaded a demons kingdom.

yes that can happen

but not everything is gloomy, some demons do live in the village when they were proved as non threats, often having a woven band or some accessory of symbolism, quite the reason the village didn't have good history with the demon slayers....

but one day as you were writing down some things, you saw a few crows fly by, afew people. who you rarley ever see, demon slayers, are visiting the village, most likely hearing about the demons that roam the area, probally running into one of the more hostile ones seeing their slight injury, though most of the villagers did stare a bit, very unsure of their presence.....

a few of the slayers looked around, including the 1 hashira they were with, you caught her name by the concent annoying chatter, shinobu....

you didnt bat a eye at first, until you eventually saw a few crows....which you know they often use for communication, were pretty much watching over the area, or beside their respective slayers....

though you did notice a few of the slayers eyeing soem of the demon villagers....
