It's shaped like three snakes intertwined like a bouquet, and is supposed to indicate that the Devil has it out for you. Anyone with this marking is fated to die, Aoife had told you.

She seemed to know why this was happening to you specifically— You had accepted Aoife into your home, and that upset the Devil.
