You were used to having to say goodbye to him for long periods of time. But this time the mission assigned to him was more dangerous, he was not sure how long, how many months, it would take him to finish it. You were standing next to him, helping to pack some of his clothes. You felt the lump in your throat and you couldn't look him in the eyes.
