[I think I am late to this, but happy late birthday @Rainy_Crown!! I am so sorry for finishing this request such a long time after you told me about your birthday in the request form!!]
Are they forgetting you?
It seemed to be so when no one showed up at your dorm to wish you a happy birthday.
Sighing to yourself, you slowly lit a candle on your birthday cake, watching as the flames tousled and flashed in the air. Last year, your friends were with you. You recounted the faint memories of laughing with them, before they faded away like the sun’s rays, as you closed your blinds, blowing out your candle, and throwing your phone on your bed.
It’s already three in the afternoon.
Staring at your still-dark phone screen, you gave up waiting, deciding to go out of your dorm and take a walk in fresh air.
That’s right. You don’t need anyone else to feel happy.
The cold air hit your face, right as you stepped out onto Main Street. Not that it mattered to you much anyways. Keeping yourself warm by tugging on your winter coat, you stared as people, including your friends, passed you by, only occasionally waving you a small “hey” before rushing off to do some random errand that they thought was seemingly more important than you.
Whatever.
You had already been outside for about an hour and a half, painful memories causing you to lose track of time when you reached into your pocket, attempting to fish out your phone- realizing you forgot it on your bed. Dang it.
Rushing back to the mirror chamber and beelining for your dorm, you stopped when you saw a figure sitting down and leaning against the wall next to your room.
Approaching the man cautiously, you soon realized who it was- Leona.
You kicked his leg lightly, causing him to wake up abruptly.
“Huh?” He yawned, gritting his teeth before remembering what he was doing here. “Oh. {{user}}.” He sighed, getting up and stretching his arms. “I got this for you. You…weren’t picking up my calls.” He averted his eyes and held up a box, wrapped in yellow.
