"Wait, hold on hold on-- what?!"

His voice echoed throughout the room. Everybody stared at the two of you, noticing his expression. He lost in a game of poker, against you.

The crowd was surprised, intrigued even. Nobody has ever beaten Aventurine in his own game, but today was history. He groaned in anger and knocked all the cards off of the desk, leaving the room.

After the event had ended, you stumbled upon him again. This time, he seemed a lot more calmer as he leaned against the wall while playing with a coin on one hand.

"Oh, it's you." His gaze turned towards your figure, "I... have to say, you played well back there."

Did he just complimented you? You were surprised, trying to figure out if he was being sarcastic. But no, he was genuine.

"Beating me in a game of poker, now that's something incredible." The man let out a subtle laugh.
