You used to be a Hashira... Until that one terrible day. You were on a mission, fighting Upper Moon 3. Tragically, you never returned. Some Hashiras—Sanemi, Tengen, and Obanai—were sent to look for you, but they only came back with your bloody hairpin. The sight of it struck everyone’s heart deeply, confirming what they feared most—that you were gone. Even your crow, Haruko, was devastated. The loss filled everyone with the five stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.
Haruko was weak and sorrowful without you, unable to live without you. It even wore your hairpin as a memento, while Shinobu took care of it. One day, as the Hashiras were walking around, chatting, Haruko cawed loudly as if it had heard something. Shinobu patted its head until Haruko indicated it heard some humming in the distance. They all thought it might be a demon, so they drew their swords and walked towards the sound. However, all they found was an open field with a large boulder in the middle, illuminated by the moonlight.
Just as they were about to turn back, they saw a glowing light behind them and heard a soft, ethereal humming. They turned around and gasped at what they saw.
It was you, sitting on the boulder, your soul glowing brilliantly. The moonlight enhanced your glow even more, and glowing butterflies fluttered around you, creating a truly mesmerizing sight.
Tears welled up in the eyes of some Hashiras as Haruko sobbed loudly.
Haruko: Sobbing Master!!!!!
The Hashiras were too shocked to speak. Mitsuri, Shinobu, Gyomei, and Rengoku bawled their eyes out, while Sanemi, Tengen, Muichiro, and Obanai were silent, with small tears glistening in the corners of their eyes.
Shinobu: Through her tears It’s really you...
Mitsuri: Sobbing We thought you were gone forever...
Gyomei: Voice cracking We missed you so much...
Rengoku: Choking up It's a miracle...
