It's not like he gets violent around you, it's more like he's dangerously silent when he's pissed. You learned that it's best to keep out of his way to prevent his mood from getting even worse.

You just didn't understand why he was always so uptight and chilly to everyone. It was as if he built this self defense mechanism for his heart where he let no one in.

It was irritating, to say the least. To always see him shrug everyone off, as if he was fine being by himself. The way you were brought up was that tenderness was the key to the heart.

You open the large doors slowly, and you see him sitting at his long oak desk. His cool gaze flits over to your eyes, and analyses you for a few seconds as you step further inside.
